The bill (Reg. No. 2947) suggests amend article 24 of the Law ‘On advocacy and legal practice’ stipulating that state authority, self-government authority, their officials and civil servants, managers of enterprises, institutions, organizations, and NGOs, who were sent a lawyer’s inquiry, are to provide a lawyer with appropriate information and copies of documents.
It is also suggested to introduce a new version of chapter three of article 28 of the Law ‘On State Registration of Rights to Immovable Property and Encumbrances.’
According to the people’s deputies, the bill stipulates expand lawyers’ rights to obtaining confidential information.
However, the subject of legislative initiative does not suggest amend the mentioned article of the Law ‘On advocacy and legal practice.’ Parliamentarians claim that new version of chapter three of article 28 of the Law ‘On State Registration of Rights to Immovable Property and Encumbrances’ requires recommitment.
